Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational therapy (OT) is a healthcare rehabilitation profession that helps people of all ages to participate in the activities (also known as "occupations") that are important to them. Occupational therapists focus on addressing the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial barriers that impede a person's ability to engage in daily activities such as self-care, work, school, leisure activities, and social participation. OT may include prescribing adaptive equipment and assistive technology, modifying environments and activities, and providing education and resources, to help individuals regain and improve their ability to perform these activities.
