Acupuncture

Experience the difference that needling can add to your program.

Target Pain. Restore Balance.

Dry Needling:

If you have received dry needling in the past you have seen the immediate changes it can make. Do you have a fear of needles and are hesitant to try it out? Cast your doubt aside, the needles are very small, barely felt going in and the majority of people with prior fear end up rebooking for another session.

The possibility of quickly increasing range of motion and relieving muscle tension can help progress your rehab or training at a quicker pace. Elevate offers traditional acupuncture based on Chinese medicine and dry needling release. Our team uses these techniques as a part of your holistic plan to treat and manage your condition or injury.

Neuro Acupuncture:

Neuro acupuncture is a specialized form of acupuncture that focuses on stimulating specific points to treat various neurological and systemic conditions. This technique is an integration of traditional Chinese acupuncture principles and modern neurology concepts, marrying both ancient wisdom with modern day science.

Here's a breakdown of the key components of neuro acupuncture:

Scalp Stimulation: Unlike traditional body acupuncture, which involves inserting thin needles into various points on the body, neuro acupuncture often involves stimulating specific points on the scalp. These points are believed to correspond to different regions of the brain and body.

Targeted Approach: Neuro acupuncture is known for its precise and targeted approach. Practitioners use specialized techniques to locate and stimulate specific areas of the scalp that are associated with the patient's condition. These points are often referred to as "motor points" or "neurological points”.

Neurological Disorders: Neuro acupuncture is particularly well-known for its effectiveness in treating various neurological disorders. It is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments. Conditions that may be treated with neuro acupuncture include:

  • Stroke and post-stroke rehabilitation
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Bell's palsy
  • Cerebral palsy

Systemic Benefits: In addition to neurological conditions, neuro acupuncture is believed to have systemic benefits. It is thought to help improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation, and enhance the overall functioning of the nervous system. Some practitioners also use it for pain management, stress reduction, and general wellness.
