Jenna was born and raised in Calgary. She completed her Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph and upon finishing at Guelph she wasn’t quite ready to leave Ontario. A pursuit of rehabilitation studies took her to The University of Western Ontario where she completed her Master of Clinical Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) and knew for certain she had found the right path. After graduation Jenna felt it was time to come home (the mountains were calling) and she is thrilled to be back living in Calgary.
Jenna loves working at Elevate because every client’s story is completely unique, just as their care should be. As a Speech-Language Pathologist Jenna strives to empower clients and help them rediscover their voice through client centered care and family involvement. Jenna has experience working with people of all ages in a variety of different settings, including hospitals, schools, and specialized clinics. She is passionate about adult neuro-rehabilitation and voice therapy, including voice disorders, dysarthria, stuttering and transgender voice affirmation therapy.
Jenna is a certified Level 1 Bradcliff Breathing Method Practitioner, giving her a unique skill set to provide direct, hands-on support with breathing pattern disorders and breath support as it relates to speech! Jenna is also trained in Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA), and LSVT-LOUD voice therapy for people with Parkinson's Disease and other voice conditions.
If Jenna were an ice cream flavour, she would be Muskoka Mocha, partly because it’s her all-time favorite, but also because she strives to bring a comforting presence to those around her and loves to connect with others over a great cup of coffee.
